vigneron-sette-ponti

The Tuscan domain of Sette Ponti is located at the heart of the Chianti region, in a splendid valley of the river Arno, halfway between Florence and Arezzo.  The name “Sette Ponti,” or seven bridges, refers to the seven bridges that cross the Arno river.  The domain, an ancient property of around 150 acres of vines, is directed by its owner, Antonio Moretti, a tireless, ambitious entrepreneur.  Moretti can be thankful to be able to call upon several very old parcels of vines for the making of his wines, such as a 5 acre parcel belonging to the Italian royal family that was planted in 1935, and more than 80 acres of Sangiovese planted more than 40 years ago.
